Newbury Legacy: 6.4
Jul. 29th, 2009 02:30 pmLast time: Sasha joined his wife in elderhood, unenthusiastically at first, while also being the most inappropriate grandfather in the world. Jude and Simon became teens. Everyone failed at work. And some other random happenings occured. Yeah.
So I finally gathered the patience last night to export the entire Newbury clan thus far in SimPE (that program runs hella slow on my computer); it's something I've been wanting to do for awhile since I've become so attached to most of them that I want the ability to keep them around forever and ever in new reincarnations if I so choose to. As I was in Body Shop, aging them all up or down to adult and getting their appearance just right and all, aside from making me terribly nostalgic for past generations, I also got the opportunity to see a few Sims as adults that I haven't been able to see in game as of this moment.
Xander, the only Newbury I've ever purposely killed prematurely (and I kind of regret it now; I could've just shipped him off to the college bin but I didn't think of that at the time), unfortunately retains his awkward looks into adulthood - and you don't even want to see how he looks as an elder, it's not pretty.

I guess he's not too bad (though the elder stage is, I swear!) but he's by far the most awkward-looking member of the family so far. Nico comes in second place; he's not exactly ugly, he's just... there's nothing interesting about him. And his face is kind of fat. He and Ophelia didn't look all that different as adults than they do as teens so I don't need to post them.
Then there's the two youngest of the most recent generation, Simon and Elijah, who were greatly overshadowed by their older (and blonder) brother. Since I don't really feel like playing them through college at the moment, I decided to take a sneak peak at what they look like all grown up. They are both actually a lot better-looking than I thought they would be.

Simon is kinda hot, shockingly; he wasn't really weird-looking as a teen but he still creeped me out for some reason. But I'm still sticking with Jude. Because blond, hello! I am blinded by the rays of sunlight surrounding his beautiful head of hair like a halo. Can you tell I really want some light-haired children to take over the bloodline?
When I'm feeling ambitious and patient again, and after I've sorted through all of my clothing downloads to decide what I want to delete (I always download clothes I think I want but then never end up using because I change my mind or they look different in-game or whatever), my next SimPE project is to remove inappropriate clothing from each category. Because outerwear does not belong in my everyday wear bin, okay? And it doesn't belong in the athletic bin either! And little girls' clothes don't belong in the little boys' wardrobes! (I don't know if I can actually fix this one as easily but it's also uber-annoying. I have all these girly raincoats in my toddler boys' section because people are idiots like that. And a dress in my child boys' section... which is even more freaky.)
