You see, ever since I watched that interview I posted a link to in the last entry (which was randomly recommended to me on the front page of Youtube and I couldn't believe I had never seen), I've been back in obsessive mode in regards to him. It's frightening, really. I discovered this lovely fansite which has a fantastic gallery that is responsible for my folder of saved pictures being much larger now than it was a few days ago.
Anyway, this post is mainly for me to gush over how freaking adorable he looked at the Cannes Film Festival. I'm a little behind because it was actually more than a month ago now but whatever. He looked positively squishable. And the hair. Oh my goodness, the hair! He always has such awesome/terrible hair that looks like he just rolled out of bed. It's like Robert Pattinson's hair but better. Because Whishaw > Pattinson. Obviously. It's so obvious I shouldn't have even needed to say it.
Look at that hair! Oh my God, it's amazing. Also, that second picture is like one of my favorite pictures ever now because every time I see it, it reminds me of Sebastian's facial expression after he kisses Charles in Brideshead Revisited. And that's hot.
That bitch Abbie Cornish needs to step away from my man. Fanny Brawne can have John Keats but Abbie can't have Ben. Actually, there is a lot of speculation about him being gay. But I don't care. He doesn't have to be my boyfriend; he can just be my gay best friend. Either one is fine by me! As long as I get to hug him whenever I want because when I see him all I want to do is give him a bug hug. I'm starting to sound creepy now so I'll stop.
And I saved this one for last (of these pictures from the same event) because it is unbearably precious:
And then, he also looked lovely at the actual premiere of the movie (Bright Star).
Speaking of the movie, what I've seen of it looks stunning and apparently, it is not being released until early fall-ish because it's being pegged as a major Oscar contender. Dude. If Ben was nominated for an Oscar, I would flip out. And mostly just because that would mean I'd get to see him on television. Plus, you know, it'd be a pretty impressive honor but BEN. LOOKING GORGEOUS. ON MY TV. I WOULD DIE. Anyway, some of the loveliness:

Well, that sure is the sexiest John Keats I've ever seen.
He's also in this short film called Love Hate, which stars Hayley Atwell as his girlfriend, which is weird because they were brother and sister in Brideshead. I don't know anything about this other than that it premiered/is premiering at some film festival but Ben looks - shockingly - adorable in it.

I was looking through the aforementioned photo gallery and I found this picture that is apparently from Enduring Love. I wasn't really interested in watching this before (even though I became slightly more interested after I saw what the plot actually was/that it was based on this book by Ian McEwan that sounds good) but now I need to know what is going on here! And also I am amused that he is naked again. He is naked in like three-fourths of his movies, I swear.
Finally, this cannot be a proper Ben Whishaw post without drooling over some Sebastian. I've only mentioned that this picture is amazing and basically my favorite of him ever, like, three times already:
That one's a slight variation on the picture from the movie that initially made me fall in love with him. But this one's cuter. Because Charles + Sebastian = love. In the other picture, Sebastian is holding onto Julia's arm which is just not nearly as awesome.
